Song Bio: Driven by my deep connection to the soulful grit of country blues and the haunting tones of slide guitar, I was inspired to craft a song that immerses listeners in the sound I imagine echoing from the porches of Mississippi. I’ve always been drawn to the timeless music of legendary blues artists like Robert Johnson, Mississippi John Hurt, and Taj Mahal. With this song, I wanted to capture the spirit of what it would feel like to ride through the Delta in an old Cadillac, stopping at weathered porches to jam with the bluesmen of old. Listening to that authentic country blues has always felt healing to me, a sound that speaks to my bones and my soul. "Way Down In Mississippi" became my own personal journey—a ride that carried me far away from everything that wasn’t rooted in the deep, heartfelt resonance of the blues.
