This lively and catchy tune features Elizabeth Sherman’s powerful vocals and Ryan Hardison’s crisp banjo playing. The song is presented from the perspective of a woman that grew up with humble beginnings, met a man and married, and is eventually cheated on. While the duo has written many songs of heartache and breakups, this is the first time they dipped their toe into the bluegrass tradition of offing a cheating lover. The song has quickly become a crowd favorite with the audience loving the moment the deed is done.

Ryan and Elizabeth recorded Tennessee Dead in their home studio in Knoxville, TN joined by Evie Andrus on fiddle and Steve Potts on mandolin. Randy Dzielak, in Asheville, NC, handled the mixing and mastering.
