Rock Salt and Nails

By nathanbeaumontbluegrass@gmail.com

Written by Utah Phillips in the 1950s, recorded by Flatt & Scruggs in the 60s, but it sounds so much older. J.D. Crowe and the New South recorded it with Tony Rice singing lead. Nathan gives the song a more old-time treatment, and went to the extra trouble of making it sound like you’re listening to an old 78 recording.
