FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Luke Shamblin Releases New Single “North on 79” – Available Everywhere April 10
Raleigh, NC – Bluegrass artist and songwriter Luke Shamblin will release his new single, “North on 79,” on all streaming platforms on April 10. Written by Shamblin and Larry Nixon, the song is a heartfelt reflection on memory, home, and the powerful connection to the roads that lead us back to where we belong.
Inspired by Shamblin’s familiar drive along Interstate 79 through West Virginia, “North on 79” follows a traveler heading back through the Appalachian mountains while reflecting on family, lost friends, and the roots that shaped him. With vivid imagery of winding mountain highways and heartfelt storytelling, the song blends nostalgia with gratitude for the people who continue to ride along with us in spirit.
“North on 79” features a standout lineup of accomplished musicians, including Jason Barie on fiddle, Derek Vaden on banjo, Corey Hensley on bass and harmony vocals, and Luke Shamblin on guitar, mandolin, and lead vocals. Produced by Shamblin, the recording captures the warmth and authenticity of traditional bluegrass instrumentation while delivering a deeply personal tribute to home, heritage, and the voices that never truly leave us.
The single marks another step in Shamblin’s return to recorded music, blending traditional bluegrass influences with personal storytelling drawn from his Appalachian roots.
“North on 79” will be available on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, YouTube Music, and all major streaming platforms beginning April 10.
