This new track features the signature twin fiddles and lonesome vocals Danny Joines is known for. “Lonesome Sound of A Fiddle” is a heartbreak murder ballad that is sure to resonate with fans of traditional bluegrass and modern folk alike. “I really wanted to capture that root’s music sound. I brought in Patrick Lyons to lay the Dobro, Mandolin, and banjo with Jorden Bender on Bass and acoustic guitar while I played the 2 fiddle parts. Sandy Shortridge was chosen as the duet partner for her rootsy Appalachian vocalization. It’s a song about Love, Jealousy, and trust that ends…well, we can’t wait for the radio community to hear it.”
The track was mixed at Gorrila Studio in Pleasantview, Tn, with Chris Lathem as Mix Engineer and produced by Danny Joines himself. Danny toured with Christian Davis and John Schneider for 7 years leading up to covid, and released his first self-written bluegrass single, “There’s A High Lonesome Sound Coming From Jerusalem Ridge” during the pandemic while shut down. It came in at #20 on Bluegrass Today Charts the weekend of July 4th. His 2nd single was a cover of “In The Pine’s” and it made the #4 position on the Bluegrass Standard Video Charts.
