Kiss My Bluegrass Goodbye
Nashville, TN (June 11th, 2025) – Bluegrass lovers, get ready to turn it up and let it roll — Kevin Denney is back with a new single just in time for summer festival season. “Kiss My Bluegrass Goodbye,” on Turnberry Records releasing to radio on June 11 via Get It Played, is a fun, high-energy anthem that celebrates the roots, rebellion, and rhythm of traditional bluegrass.
Co-written by Denney along with Tom Botkin and Jimmy Fortune, “Kiss My Bluegrass Goodbye” is an infectious tune that blends clever lyricism with classic picking and harmonies — a perfect soundtrack for cruising down a backroad with the windows down and the volume turned all the way up!
I’ll be rolling like a banjo down the highway
Singing tenor to the whining of the wheels
Everything but you is going my way
That’s how it is and honey here’s the deal
I’ll be pulling out of here like the Train 45
You can kiss my bluegrass goodbye
“It was a fun one to write!” says Denney. “I wanted to record it as straight-ahead traditional bluegrass as we could, and I’m so happy to mention some of my musical influences in this song as well.”
Got my guitar put up in its case
In the back seat of my ole Chevrolet
All my albums of Stanley and Monroe
Sparks, Sonny and Bobby, Doyle and Crowe
Riding shotgun in the passenger side
You can kiss my bluegrass goodbye
True to his Kentucky roots and unmistakable voice, Denney delivers a performance that’s both respectful of the genre’s history and brimming with his trademark charisma. With nods to the legends who shaped bluegrass and a fresh spark of modern-day fun, “Kiss My Bluegrass Goodbye” is already generating buzz as a must-hear track this summer.
“Kiss My Bluegrass Goodbye” is available to radio NOW and will be streaming on all major digital music platforms on June 20, 2025.
