Cora Is Gone

By Bobby Osborne & C.J. Lewandowski

The sophomore single release since the passing of Bluegrass
Icon, Bobby Van Osborne., “Cora Is Gone.” First heard by Bobby Osborne in the late
1940’s while watching the newly formed Lester Flatt, Earl Scruggs & The Foggy Mountain
Boys, making it a genuine Bluegrass ballad. Joined by his understudy, C.J. Lewandowski
and the incomparable powerhouse that is Billy Strings, Bobby tips his hat to Lester and
Earl with his own recipe of “Cora is Gone.” Bluegrass Royalty chimes in, literally, with
Rob McCoury on the the 5 string banjo. Strings on Guitar, Lewandowski on mandolin,
Aynsley Porchak on twin fiddles, and Bobby Osborne II round out this classic with purity
and natural simplicity. “Cora is Gone” features Bobby, C.J., & Billy’s lead vocal as they
combine forces in harmony of each chorus to bring together the past, present & future of
the genre.
