Caught Between
The Rabbit Council is the indie folk/alt-folk project of songwriter Lee Baber, blending folk, country, rock, and pop — often with Southern Gothic and nature-inspired themes.
Inspired by a trip to the Great Barrier Reef before ecological decline worsened, “Caught Between” explores the beauty and fragility of both the reef and life. Produced by Jon Leeds and written by Baber, the track features Grammy-nominated musician Franco Martino on guitar and mandolin, Leeds on percussion, and Baber responsible for the rest.
“Caught Between” blends indie folk and alt-folk with understated bluegrass overtones and fragile vocals. The mid-tempo track carries a calm, cinematic mood that feels both earthy and expansive- but still a bit on the edge.
The Rabbit Council is based in Charlotte, NC.
French music blog Boulimique de Musique called the project “refreshing… a gently psychedelic atmosphere… truly refreshing.”
