Where You’ve Been

By Nu-Blu

Radio Notes:
Nu-Blu’s new album takes you on the journey of life. Starting with the title track Where You’ve Been to set the tone, and then looking back into your ancestry with Horse Thieves and Moonshiners, to where you will end up with Jesus Loves You. Time (On Your Side) reminds you to not waste a second. It’s Too Late, sometimes the choices you make you can’t go back on, like this twist where a dad comes back to his daughter and she says, “It’s To Late.”. “When It Rains, She Pours,” though sung by Daniel, dips into the female perspective on relationships and where some folks turn to cope. “Whirlwind”…life is sometimes a whirlwind and stress just make you want to scream. This instrumental pened by Nu-Blu’s own Justin Harrison, gives you that chance. So turn it up and let out the stress! “Nobody’s Business But The Moon.” Life is not fair, and takes dark turns. Our albums always feature a song that empowers women to stand up and fight back against abuse. This is that song…. “Trains,” as you progress in life, we all have dreams, but how to get to them? Trains of course! “The Will,” it’s a time that is coming. We all have to deal with lose a parent, and at some point are faced with writing our own will. Either side of this coin isn’t easy, but it’s gonna happen. Carolyn just lost her dad in March so it hits close to home, as it will the listener. “That’s Just Life”..it’s going by fast, so don’t miss a second or second guess a chance to make a memory, dance the dance, that’s just life.

Liner Notes: “Where You’ve Been”
Score! it’s something that needs to be settled. it’s something that athletes all over the globe celebrate. However for Nu-Blu, a score represents twenty years of music, miles and memories. “Where You’ve Been” is a retrospective, perhaps even an introspective album. it resonates with the bands knack for theming and a total listening experience, taking you through a journey of life. looking back at where you came from, through life’s joy, heartaches, successes and failures. All while urging you to not waste a minute. enjoy the ride, dance the dance, find your happy. experiences mold us and create within us character, initiative, regret, and shape future choices. it’s in this album that Nu-Blu reminds us all…who you are, is “Where You’ve Been.”
